Joyce E. Conlon

Joyce E. Conlon served as a NIST staff member from 1985 until her retirement in 2005, and as a NIST contractor for the DLMF project until her sudden death in 2007. Born in Richmond, Virginia and brought up in suburban Baltimore, Conlon received a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 1979. From 1980-85 she worked as a computer programmer for the Defense Mapping Agency. At NIST she served in various positions providing support for high performance scientific computing. In 1999 she joined the NIST Mathematical and Computational Sciences Division, where she contributed to the DLMF project, especially to the construction of the bibliography.
