Amparo Gil
Amparo Gil (b. 1969 in Villarrobledo, Spain) is Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science in the Universidad de Cantabria, Spain.
Gil has published several papers on special functions and related topics. She is coauthor (with J. Segura and N. M. Temme) of the book Numerical Methods for Special Functions, published by SIAM in 2007. She is also coeditor (with J. L. López and J. Segura) of Proceedings of the Conference in Honour of Dr. Nico Temme on the Occasion of his 65th Birthday, J. Comp. Appl. Math., v. 207 (2007).
Gil served as a Validator for the original release and publication in May 2010 of the NIST Digital Library of Mathematical Functions and the NIST Handbook of Mathematical Functions.
In November 2015, Gil was named an Associate Editor of the following DLMF Chapter
