Nico M. Temme
Nico M. Temme is Emeritus Researcher in the Centrum voor Wiskunde en Informatica (CWI), Amsterdam. He is also an Associate Editor for Special Functions for the DLMF project.
His research interest is the asymptotic and numerical aspects of special functions. His contributions to this field are reflected in more than 100 journal and proceedings publications. He was a member of the editorial board of SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis and of Mathematics of Computation. His book Special Functions, An Introduction to the Classical Functions of Mathematical Physics is a well-known reference work. In July 2005, a conference Special Functions: Asymptotic Analysis and Computation was held in Santander, Spain, to celebrate his 65th birthday.
Temme is author of the following DLMF chapters
