Boele L. J. Braaksma (b. 1934 in Groningen, The Netherlands) is Emeritus Professor in the Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. He has published numerous papers on special functions and related topics.

Braaksma served as a Validator for the original release and publication in May 2010 of the NIST Digital Library of Mathematical Functions and the NIST Handbook of Mathematical Functions.
